AI phone agent questions, answered plainly.
What the agent does, what it will never do, where your call data goes and what a minute costs — for the person buying it and the person wiring it up.
01
What it is
What is this?
An AI phone agent for your company. One runtime answers your calls as a receptionist, calls leads as a sales caller, books and confirms appointments, invites people to events and runs follow-up surveys — each as its own agent with its own goals, voice and tools.
Does it pretend to be a human?
No. Every call opens by saying it is an AI assistant for your company, and it answers honestly if asked again. The disclosure is added by the runtime, so no prompt can remove it.
How do I use it?
From the dashboard with no code, through a REST API under /api/v1, or through an MCP server so any AI agent can place and read calls. Test any agent in your browser before it touches a phone line.
02
How it works & what it costs
Where is my call data processed?
Inference runs in the workspace’s region: Swiss workspaces are transcribed, reasoned about and voiced by hosts in Switzerland where one exists, EU in the EU, US in the US — with no automatic cross-border fail-over. The real-time media layer that carries call audio runs in the EU (Frankfurt) for every call today; the database is in Zurich.
Can it book appointments?
Yes. Every workspace has a built-in calendar with your opening hours and slot rules; connect Google or Microsoft 365 so it respects your real availability. During a call the agent holds a slot, reads it back, and confirms it — no double booking.
What does it cost?
One all-in price per connected minute — from $0.19 on the free plan down to $0.13 at scale — including transcription, the model, the voice and standard termination. Numbers are $3/month (local) or $6 (mobile, toll-free); unanswered calls are free.
03
Calls & compliance
Can it make cold calls?
Only where the law allows it. At launch, outbound calls in Germany, France and Switzerland require a recorded consent; cold B2B calling is available in the UK and US after review. Every outbound call is checked against consent, do-not-call lists and the callee’s local calling hours before it is dialled.
What happens if someone says “stop calling me”?
The agent confirms it, ends the call politely, and the number is written to your suppression list in the same turn. It will not be called again by any agent in your workspace.
Are calls recorded?
Only if you enable recording. By default recording follows the jurisdiction: where every party must consent, the agent asks first, and records only on a yes. Transcripts are always kept so you can review what was said.
Can it transfer to a person?
Yes — a cold transfer, or a warm transfer where the caller hears hold music while the agent briefs your colleague, then connects them.

Setup & integrations
Do I need a new phone number?
You can buy a local number from the dashboard in supported countries, or keep your own number and forward calls to the agent. Some countries require an address or company document before a number activates.
Which tools can the agent use?
Built-ins for calendar, messages, SMS/email confirmations, notes and transfers — plus any MCP server you register: your CRM, ticketing, order system or internal APIs. You choose per agent which tools it may use and which need a spoken confirmation.
Which languages does it speak?
Set a primary language per agent and the languages it may switch to on request. The voice and the model follow the caller’s language.
How fast does it respond?
Fast models answer the conversation while slower work — calendar lookups, CRM writes, MCP tools — runs in the background with natural filler, and a semantic turn detector decides when the caller has finished. Our design target is about 800 ms voice-to-voice; streaming transcription and voice are on the roadmap to get there. Every call records its own per-turn latency in your dashboard, so you see the real number.
