Outbound role · Follow-up & survey caller
An AI survey caller that hears every customer
Checks in after a sale or visit and captures structured answers. Calls customers after a purchase, visit or support case, asks a short set of questions, captures the answers as structured data and flags anyone unhappy for a human follow-up.
What it does
What an AI survey caller handles for you
The follow-up & survey caller template ships with these goals. You measure it by one number: completed surveys.

Who puts an AI survey caller on the phone
- Service businesses that want feedback after every visit, not a sample
- Support teams closing the loop after a case
- Sales teams checking in after a purchase or delivery
Direction
Places calls to your contacts — only those with a lawful basis to be called.
A sample call
Hear how it sounds on a real line
The disclosure comes first, then the greeting you write. Between turns the agent calls its tools — you see each one in the call log.
After the call
- Answers stored as structured fields on the contact, next to the call.
- Unhappy customers flagged for a human follow-up — before they churn.
- A summary by email when you want one, and an outcome on every call.
- AgentHi, this is Alex, an AI assistant for [Company]. Do you have two minutes for a quick check-in?
- CallerSure.
- AgentOn a scale of one to five, how was your visit last week?
- CallerHonestly, a two. I waited a long time.
- update_contact → score: 2 · reason: wait time
- AgentI’m sorry about the wait. I’ll ask someone from the team to call you back — is this number best?
- CallerYes, it is.
- set_outcome → escalate to a human

Outbound rules
It only calls people it is allowed to call
Before every dial the runtime checks consent, do-not-call lists and the recipient’s local calling hours. Outside the window, the call is scheduled for the next open slot — never dialled.
- AI disclosure, first sentence. Every call — inbound and outbound — opens by saying it is an AI assistant for your company. Enforced by the runtime (EU AI Act Art. 50, from 2 Aug 2026).
- Opt-out the same turn. “Stop calling me” writes the number to suppression before the call ends, and the agent confirms it.
- Calling hours per country and state. Outside the recipient’s window, a call is scheduled for the next open slot — never dialled.
- Consent ledger. Consent, opt-outs and list hits are stored as append-only evidence: source, basis and time.
Full per-country rules on the AI calling compliance page and in our security and data residency notes.
