Outbound role · Event & marketing caller

An AI event caller that fills the room

Invites, confirms RSVPs and fills your events. Calls your contacts about an event or launch, answers logistics questions, records the RSVP and texts the details — then calls again to confirm attendance.

What it does

What an AI event caller handles for you

The event & marketing caller template ships with these goals. You measure it by one number: rsvps per connected call.

goal · rsvp

Record a yes/no/maybe RSVP

Invites, confirms RSVPs and fills your events.

goal · inform

Answer questions about date, place and agenda

Part of the template — change it, add to it or remove it.

measured by

RSVPs per connected call

Every call ends with a logged outcome, so the metric is counted, not guessed.

Who puts an AI event caller on the phone

  • Marketing teams running customer evenings, launches and webinars
  • Associations and venues confirming attendance before the day
  • Anyone whose RSVP list lives in a spreadsheet and a phone

Direction

Places calls to your contacts — only those with a lawful basis to be called.

A sample call

Hear how it sounds on a real line

The disclosure comes first, then the greeting you write. Between turns the agent calls its tools — you see each one in the call log.

After the call

  • A yes / no / maybe RSVP written back to the contact.
  • Date, place and agenda sent by SMS or email while the call is still fresh.
  • A second call closer to the date to confirm who is really coming.

Outbound rules

It only calls people it is allowed to call

Before every dial the runtime checks consent, do-not-call lists and the recipient’s local calling hours. Outside the window, the call is scheduled for the next open slot — never dialled.

  • AI disclosure, first sentence. Every call — inbound and outbound — opens by saying it is an AI assistant for your company. Enforced by the runtime (EU AI Act Art. 50, from 2 Aug 2026).
  • Opt-out the same turn. “Stop calling me” writes the number to suppression before the call ends, and the agent confirms it.
  • Calling hours per country and state. Outside the recipient’s window, a call is scheduled for the next open slot — never dialled.
  • Consent ledger. Consent, opt-outs and list hits are stored as append-only evidence: source, basis and time.

Full per-country rules on the AI calling compliance page and in our security and data residency notes.

FAQ

Event & marketing caller questions

Does the AI event caller say it is an AI?
Yes — the first sentence of every call discloses it, added by the runtime so no script can remove it.
Who can the event caller phone?
Contacts with a lawful basis in their jurisdiction. In Germany, France and Switzerland that means a recorded consent at launch; every dial is checked against consent, do-not-call lists and local calling hours.
Can it call back to confirm attendance?
Yes. After recording the RSVP and texting the details, it calls again to confirm attendance before the event.
What does it answer about the event?
Whatever is in the knowledge you give it — date, place, agenda, parking, dress code. Questions it can’t answer are logged for your team.
Can I change the goals and the greeting?
Everything in the template is editable: goals, greeting, persona, voice, hours, tools and transfers.
How much does an AI event caller cost?
One all-in rate per connected minute, from $0.19 on Free down to $0.13 on Scale — speech-to-text, the model, the voice and standard termination included. Ringing and unanswered calls are free, and browser test calls cost nothing.
